The Crawford County Solid Waste Authority was created in 1972 with the mission to ensure the proper management of municipal solid waste within County borders. The Authority achieves this mission by developing programs and services to minimize and divert waste from landfill disposal; developing and implementing the Crawford County Municipal Solid Waste Plan on behalf of the Crawford County Commissioners; and by providing educational programs, resources, and technical assistance to schools, civic organizations, municipal officials, and to the businesses and residents of Crawford County.
